Declan Byrne

Dr. Declan Byrne graduated with a BSc degree in chemistry from Queen’s University Belfast in 1994, where he subsequently did his doctoral studies in the field of synthetic organic chemistry. After 3 years post-doctoral research at the Ecole Europeene de Chimie, Polymers et Materiaux in Strasbourg, he joined the EDQM in 2001 and after spending some time in the Publications department aiding in the elaboration of European Pharmacopoeia monographs, he is currently working for the Certification of Substances Division (DCEP) as a chemical assessor of new CEP applications.
