Chandrashekar Ranga has an Honors degree in Pharmacy from the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and Masters in Pharmaceutical Technology from Nagpur University. He has also Degree in law and PG Diploma in Intellectual Property Laws.
He has more than 26 years experience in Drug Control Departments of the State and Central Governments in various capacities and is currently working as Deputy Drugs Controller (India) at CDSCO, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. He is currently assisting the DCG(I) in evaluation of applications for marketing of IND’s and first time approvals of drugs approved in other countries, International Cell, EU Written confirmation certificate, Legal division, Expert Committee coordination, Narcotic drugs, amendments to Drugs and Cosmetics Rule etc. He has been instrumental in the development of e-Governance programs and the development of SUGAM portal at CDSCO.
